Hello blessed child of God, today is Good Friday. I am so excited for our Good Friday Worship Experience at Elevation Church.
I believe today is the ideal day to share this song “Mighty Cross” by Elevation Worship.

I’m not sure if it’s only from where I grew up, but in the church where I grew up, on Good Friday, we were supposed to feel bad and extremely sad for all of our sins because they caused Jesus’s death on The Cross.
With time, my perspective has changed, and though I know that it’s my sins which caused Jesus’s death, I’m not “sad”, I am grateful.
What happened on that Cross on that day, changed my life forever, just as it changed your life and all of our lives forever.
Through His death on The Cross, Jesus dealt with sin once and for all, my sins, your sins, the sins of the whole humanity. Provided that we believe in Him, and put our trust in Him, we get to enjoy salvation and the free gift of righteousness.
The blood which was poured on that Cross was necessary to cleanse us from all of our sins.
Isaiah 53:1‭-‬12 NIV

Who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? He grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground. He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in His appearance that we should desire Him. He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces He was despised, and we held Him in low esteem. Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered Him punished by God, stricken by Him, and afflicted. But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by His wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; He was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so He did not open His mouth. By oppression and judgment he was taken away. Yet who of His generation protested? For He was cut off from the land of the living; for the transgression of my people He was punished. He was assigned a grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death, though He had done no violence, nor was any deceit in his mouth. Yet it was the Lord ’s will to crush Him and cause Him to suffer, and though the Lord makes His life an offering for sin, He will see His offspring and prolong his days, and the will of the Lord will prosper in his hand. After He has suffered, He will see the light of life and be satisfied ; by His knowledge my righteous servant will justify many, and He will bear their iniquities. Therefore I will give Him a portion among the great, and He will divide the spoils with the strong, because He poured out His life unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors. For He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

Today, as we contemplate on Christ’s death, it matters that we remember that it wasn’t a failure but the greatest victory ever.
Victory over sin, victory over death, victory over hell, victory over eternal separation from God.
“The Cross of Jesus Christ is the reason I’m alive, for His blood has set me free, It will never lose its power for me”
It’s the same blood of Jesus which was poured more than 2000 years ago, which still cleanses us today when we confess our sins to God.
The Cross is our victory.
He suffered so that we may be made whole, and He did it out of love, and He was glad and proud to do it in obedience to God in order to save you, and me, because He loves us so much.
The Cross is our victory, as such our response on Good Friday and every other day, should be to praise God, to thank Jesus with all our hearts for His sacrifice on The Cross.

Say thank you to Jesus Christ for His wonderful work on The Cross. Rejoice greatly as you worship Him today.
Father Lord God Almighty, I thank You so much because Jesus Christ‘s death on The Cross changed my story forever. Sin is not be able to separate me from You anymore, and death is not the end of my story. By Your grace, I get to spend eternity with You. Thank You so much Lord, in Jesus Christ’s Name. Amen.
