Hello blessed child of God, I hope you’re fine by His grace and I hope you enjoyed an awesome week.
Today’s a wonderful day to talk about God’s restorating power.
This message is specifically directed to anyone who made mistakes, who made wrong choices, who said or did things he/she regrets and who’s having doubts on whether God can still want them and use them.
This message is to give you hope, and to make you realize that God is not condemning you for your errors, He wants to restore you.
2 Chronicles 7:14-15 NIV
if My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place.
God is not waiting to condemn you. He wants to restore you. I wonder if you’ve ever realized that when Adam and Eve sinned against God, He was The One who started looking for them and reached out to them, not the reverse.
Genesis 3:8-9 MSG
When they heard the sound of God strolling in the garden in the evening breeze, the Man and his Wife hid in the trees of the garden, hid from God . God called to the Man: “Where are you?”
Our normal reaction when we sin is to hide from God. Perhaps because the devil has already convinced us that God can never want us back since we’ve screwed up alread.
The truth is God hates sin, God hates rebellion. He definitely hates it and there’s no doubt to this. But God loves you, He loves me, He loves us.
God hates sin but He loves the sinner.
I love this phrase but I want to complete it. God hates sin but He loves the sinner, not so that the sinner will continue to live in sin, but so that the sinner will be saved from sin, redeemed and restored.
God’s desire has never been that you die in your sins and that you should be separated from Him for eternity (Hell). God loves you and wants you to spend eternity with Him.
Ezekiel 33:11, 14-16 MSG
“Tell them, ‘As sure as I am the living God, I take no pleasure from the death of the wicked. I want the wicked to change their ways and live. Turn your life around! Reverse your evil ways! Why die , Israel?’ “‘On the other hand, if I tell a wicked person, “You’ll die for your wicked life,” and he repents of his sin and starts living a righteous and just life—being generous to the down-and-out, restoring what he had stolen, cultivating life-nourishing ways that don’t hurt others—he’ll live. He won’t die. None of his sins will be kept on the books (remembered). He’s doing what’s right, living a good life. He’ll live.
He knows your dysfunctions so well, He knows your sins and He knows that you still struggle with the flesh and its sinfil desires. But He wants to save you.
When God makes you realize your sins, it is not to frighten you and make you run away from Him, nor to make you know that He’s angry with you and doesn’t want you back. When God makes you realize your sins, it is to correct you, readjust you, and to fix things in your life so that you can be at peace with Him.
He really wants you with Him. Seriously, God’s plan is not to condemn you but to save you. No matter what you are have done in your life, even if it was yesterday, even if it was five minutes ago, God still wants to restore you, and it’s still possible for you to live a life which gives glory to God.
- No matter if you killed someone, God can forgive you and restore you
- No matter if you’ve hidden an addiction for weeks, months or years, God can forgive you and restore you
- No matter if you’ve been unfaithful to your spouse (or future spouse) God can forgive you and restore you
- No matter how much you’ve stolen from others, God can forgive you and restore you
- No matter how many lies you’ve said and where it brought you to, God can forgive you and restore you
- No matter how many times you lashed out in anger at your parents, your spouse, your friends, your kids etc. God can forgive you and restore you
God is ready to clear it all and to forgive all of your sins. But the real question is;
- Are you ready to step out of your sin and do things differently?
- Are you ready to put in every effort possible to let God lead you and correct your dysfunctional attitude and the patterns which led you to sin?
- Are you ready to trust God on this and to keep trying to serve Him even if you fall and fall again?
God wants a willing heart, and a spirit which will totally trust Him and rely on Him for change.
Today, realize that God wants to help you adjust your behaviour. He knows that you’re just like any other kid who wants to do things well and to be accepted. God loves you and accepts you and He will help you to do things better.
Here are three practical things you can do for this.
1. Confess your sins to God sincerely.
Cry on your knees and confess your sins to Him. Ask Him to save you from your sins.
2. Read His Word everyday.
It’s through reading His Word and reading useful Biblical resources concerning the sins you’re fighting that you will receive guidance to avoid sin. Put in practice what you learn, don’t just read it, also put it in practice.
3. Surround yourself.
Don’t do this alone. Surround yourself with a community which stands for you and prays for you.
Don’t do this alone. Don’t even try to do this alone. Discuss with your pastor and surround yourself with Christian counselors and elders which will accompany you and help you straighten your path in The Lord.

Proverbs 3:5-12 MSG
Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God ’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; He’s The One who will keep you on track. Don’t assume that you know it all. Run to God ! Run from evil! Your body will glow with health, your very bones will vibrate with life! Honor God with everything you own; give Him the first and the best. Your barns will burst, your wine vats will brim over. But don’t, dear friend, resent God ’s discipline; don’t sulk under His loving correction. It’s the child He loves that God corrects; a father’s delight is behind all this.
Conclusion
God still loves you, God still wants you, and God still wants to change you. He is able, and He knows it’s possible for you to become a better person, a Christian in the image of Christ.
Prayer
Father Lord God Almighty, thank You so much for your readiness to forgive me and restore me. Lord only You can change me completely. Please Lord send Your Holy Spirit, deliver me, Help me, Guide me, fix me and transform me, so that I may obey You and work in Your ways, in Jesus Christ’s Name. Amen
