Hi everyone, I hope you are all fine by God’s grace. Today’s post is about freedom from judging others.
Firstly, I want us to make a difference between judging and discerning. Discerning goes with differentiating between good and bad, and recognizing what is good or evil. Whereas, judging kind of goes with condemning.
The topic of judging isn’t really an easy topic. It’s not obvious to know how to react when our close friends sin against God. In our hearts, we know that it’s a sin but we may not know how to feel about it.
At times we unconsciously judge them and we are like “how could you do something so horrible?”. Some other times, we love them so much that we refuse to realize that they have sinned and we apologetically try to justify what they did because we can’t admit to ourselves that they have sinned.
God doesn’t face this difficulty as well do in figuring out how to react in such circumstances. God is righteousness and love at the same time. Which means, He definitely recognizes when a sin has been committed. In fact He hates the sin, but He loves the sinner. How can it be? That’s God’s nature and it’s so wonderful.
Let’s make it clear, no body’s perfect.
Romans 3:23 KJV
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
You may apparently be the most exemplary servant of God; read your Bible everyday, give all your tithes, feed the poor and the orphans, all that doesn’t make you righteous in God’s sight, none of these put you in position to judge.
Isaiah 64:6 KJV
But we are all as an unclean thing , and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
What makes us accepted by God isn’t our good works or our skills. What makes us accepted is Jesus Christ’s sacrifice on The Cross of Calvary.
When your friends sin against God, instead of condemning them and rejecting them, think of how God shows His mercy towards you everyday, despite all of your flaws and all of your sins. We all need the mercy of God, and it’s high time that we learn to look at others just as God looks at us, not with a cane waiting to punish us and condemn us, but with love, ready to convict us, forgive us, and accept us.
Remember that Jesus Christ Himself didn’t condemn sinners nor reject them, in fact He came for them.
Matthew 9:13 KJV
But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
Learn to see others with the same love with which God sees you. Love them and pray for them. That’s how to obtain freedom from the habit of judging.

Father Lord God King of Glory, please transform me in Your nature, that I may hate sin but love the sinner, and see everyone not by their flaws but rather by a measure of Your love for them. In Jesus Christ’s Name I pray, Amen.
