Hi everyone, I hope you’re all fine by God’s grace and that you had a great week filled with His love. Today’s post is directed towards anyone who’s ever felt at any point in life like being “the only one on earth”, like “no one cared” or like “having to do this all alone”. This post is for anyone going through a season where they feel alone, abandoned, rejected and helpless.
We’re going to dive in Psalm 27, in order to outline 3 things we ought to remember when we feel abandoned and like no one cares, even if these are people we usually care for.
- God shall protect you
We tend to cling the most to people and to need their support the most when we dread something which is coming against us, for example, a debt, a car accident, a financial problem, disease etc.
However, it doesn’t matter what you are afraid of right now, and it doesn’t matter if it’s coming against you because of something you did or didn’t do because what matters now is the fact that God, your Father who loves you so much will protect you and keep you safe.
Psalm 27:5 NIV
For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent and set me high upon a rock.
2. God will take you up
You may have turned to your dad for help and he refused, you may want to turn to you mom for help but you dread that she’d refuse. You may have turned to the people you helped every single time they went through tough times, but now that it’s your turn, they turned a cold shoulder on you. Keep calm because God’s going to take you up, to care for you, and help you, teach you, instruct you, guide you, in fact God will never let you down. Your dad may let you down, but you have another Dad who will never leave you nor forsake you.

For though my father and my mother have forsaken me, The LORD will take me up.
3. God IS
Exodus 3: 14 KJV
And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM:
God IS the solution. No matter how hard it is, how painful it is, others may forsake you but God shall never abandon you. You may be forsaken by men, but never abandoned by God.
Why would God never abandon you?
- Is it because you’re perfect? No
- Is it because you don’t deserve to be blamed? No
- Is it because you have it all together? No
It’s because that’s who HE IS, HE IS LOVE.

because God is love
Don’t focus on your problem, focus on God and His love for you.
Next time you feel forsaken on every side, remember that God has will never abandon you, turn to Him be cause His arms are wide open waiting to embrace you and to comfort you, to encourage you and to take up what others had rejected.
- When others see wasted opportunities in you but God sees gifts.
- When others see nothing but your flaws, God sees the character He gave to you by creating you in His image.
- When others see the time and money they invested in you as a wastage, God sees you as being so precious that He not only invests His love but also the most precious thing to Him for you, the life of His Only Son.
God loves you and even when you are forsaken by men, you are not abandoned by God.
Prayer
Father Lord God Almighty, thank You for protecting me, taking me up and for being LOVE. You are my peace and refuge in times of troubles, thank You for never abandoning me, In Jesus Christ’s Name. Amen
