Hi everyone, I hope you’re all fine by God’s grace. Today’s post is about what’s really going on deep inside your heart in your walk with God and of course in every aspect of your life.
In order to study on this theme, we’ll start look to this awesome Bible verse.
Isaiah 29:13 NIV
These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.Their worship of me is based on merely human rules they have been taught.
In this verse,God clearly makes us realize that He knows and notices the difference, when we pray from our hearts compared to when we just do it because we ”have to”.
What God is really interested in about you is NOT:
- Whether you sing really well and you know all the lyrics to praise songs
- The number of times you call His Name everyday
- The number of Bible verses you have memorized and can quote
- How well you can recite the 10 Commandments in order
- The commandments of your church and religious leaders which you follow
What really interests Him is ” When you’re doing all those things, what’s the disposition of your heart?”
Is your heart inclined towards God, or is it far away from Him?
Here we aren’t only talking about people who follow their religion and their church but who don’t really believe in Christ, who don’t really have a personal relationship with Him. I believe we are also talking about people, who have become so familiar with singing to God, reciting His Word, talking about Him all day long, etc that their heart isn’t just in it any longer. It has become so ”common” to them, that they aren’t passionate about it any longer. They’ve gotten so used to the songs, and the Bible verses, that they just do it because it has to be done, because they have always done what had to be done.
God doesn’t just want our worship, He wants our hearts.
He doesn’t just want you near, He wants you near with your heart.
God loves us so much and He doesn’t just want us to ”do things” without enjoying them in Him.
If we have to praise Him and worship Him, He wants it to come from our hearts because we love Him. When we think of His love, no matter if it’s the 1000th time we’re singing this worship song, it is just as refreshing as (and may be even more than) the first time we heard that song.
If we have to recite Bible verses, it should be because we’ve fallen in love with His Word, because we’re so passionate about it.
If you obey His Commandments and flee from sin, it shouldn’t just be for your reputation, or because of ”what people will think of you”, or “what your parents expect from you”. If you obey Him it should NOT either be because you are so afraid that He’s going to punish you if you don’t, you shouldn’t obey out of fear. What He expects from you, is that you obey as a response to His love for you. That as you realize how much He loves you, your heart too will melt and you will love Him because He loved you first, and as you start loving Him, you start wanting to please Him and not your flesh.
God wants a response from your heart. He doesn’t want us to be puppets which just follow for following sake without putting in our heart. That’s why He made the first move of love, by giving the life of His Beloved Son Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary, because He loved us so much.
“So that your heart would be touched by the melody of His love and your heart would resonate in unison with His love and respond by a melody of love.”

God wants your heart, not just your deeds. That’s love.
Prayer
Father Lord God Almighty, I thank You so much for granting me a heart with feelings. Incline my heart O Lord towards its Creator and Lover; You, that everything I may do, should be with all my heart out of love for You. In Jesus Christ’s Name I pray. Amen

Simply because He wants us to be happy and not some robot. He want us to feel the real love, which can only come from our heart and not our head or our memory. He want us to be full of passion , loving and appreciating every single act we do for Him and for His children
