The people whom you associate with as a believer will influence your character, your morals and your manners. It’s not enough to claim that you want to serve Jesus Christ, you have to hang out with like-minded believers who challenge you to be better everyday. If all those you hang out with are unbelievers and backsliders, sooner or later they will drag you into mud and you’ll be sinning with them. We have several activities and group systems in Church such that you can have a support system of like-minded believers.
Throughout this fast, God wants you to evaluate who you spend your time with and to be intentional about choosing to build relationships with believers who will challenge you to be a better Christian daily.
If you’re the most successful/smartest person in your group, get a bigger group. If you’re the most spiritual in your group, get a bigger group. Iron sharpens iron. You grow better if you’re surrounded with people who are pouring into you and you’re also pouring into them. It should be vice versa.

- Holy Spirit, open my eyes so that I may know the bad company that I have allowed in my life and give me wisdom to dissociate from bad company and associate with good company in Jesus Christ’s Name.
- Father I pray that you forgive me for associating with bad company in The Name of our Lord Jesus Christ
Assignment :
Write the names of five believers who are really on fire for God with whom you will build/reinforce a relationship so as to have positive Christian influence around you. Make intentional efforts (texts, calls, visits) to make it work.
