Hello beloved of The Lord, you’re blessed and highly favoured.
Many Christians struggle with loneliness. Some singles feel lonely because they’re not yet married. Some married people feel lonely because their spouse doesn’t understand them or their spouse is physically absent for professional/work purposes. Some children feel lonely because their parents are busy earning money to support them financially. Some Pastors are lonely because they don’t feel understood by their congregation.
In an era where almost everyone is online, we are more “connected” than ever before yet we feel more lonely than we’ve ever been. It is time for believers to cure loneliness by practising the presence of God.
If you’re a believer, in you live The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit (John 14:10). God is Jehovah Shammah He is always there. Just acknowledge His presence, believe that He is physically with you, and talk to Him as such.
Look at what Jesus said in Revelation 3:20 NKJV “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.”
Many people assume that He said it figuratively while in reality He meant physically. How do we know that He meant He would physically come and dine with you? Because after His resurrection He appeared to the disciples physically and ate with them (Luke 24:36-43, John 21:1-14).
There are still believers nowadays who see Jesus Christ physically. Why would it not be your experience? Why should you be lonely?
Prayer:
- God, I don’t want to know you from a distance. I want to know You personally. I want fellowship with you. I’m tired of feeling lonely. I want to enjoy Your presence and Your company. You live in me as such I am never alone, thank You Lord in Jesus Christ’s Name. Amen
Assignment :
- Place a chair for The Lord Jesus Christ in your room/dining room and speak to Him. Invite Him to come and have a conversation with you. Picture/visualise Him right there and discuss with Him.
