Day 10: The Holy Spirit is your friend

And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever–

Hello beloved of The Lord, you’re blessed and highly favoured.

The Holy Spirit was sent to you to be your Comforter, Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener and Standby. The Holy Spirit is supposed to be your best friend. Many people believe that they can communicate with God only when they’re alone at home in their prayer room while the truth is that you can communicate with God all the time.

You can speak with The Holy Spirit all the time, whether you’re in a car on your way to work or even at work or in the supermarket. He is always available. Talk to Him as you would talk to a friend.
Ask Him for counsel/guidance/advice.

Let Him be The One who helps you decide about the basic things in your daily life, what you will wear today, how you will style your hair, what you will cook/eat and even where you will go to. When you learn to listen to His advice for small things it becomes easier to listen to Him for bigger things like whether to travel or not, in which town to live or even who to marry.

Prayer:

• Holy Spirit, I desire to be Your friend and to hear clearly from You. I choose today to involve You in every area of my life, to ask specific questions and to expect answers, guidance and counselling from You. Amen 

Assignment :

• Involve The Holy Spirit in every decision that you make today: what to wear, whom to call, whom to say yes to, whom to say no to, where to go or where not to go.
