Hi everyone, I hope you had a nice weekend and are all fine by God’S grace. Today we are going to talk about zeal.
Zeal can be defined as an enthusiastic devotion to a cause, ideal, or goal.
Let’s look at an example of zeal in The Bible.

John 2:13-17 KJV
And the Jews’ passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem, [14] And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting: [15] And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers’ money, and overthrew the tables; [16] And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father’s house an house of merchandise. [17] And his disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of thine house
hath eaten me up.

Many here may not at first understand what Jesus Christ did here, but He did it out of zeal for The Lord.
When you are zealed for God, you want His Word to be shared in all truth and without hypocrisy, you want His house(the church) to be a true house of prayer, you want to spread His Gospel at all cost under His guidance.
You don’t just cope with the status quo in your family, church, school, marriage or at your job, you know what God’S will about the situation is, you pray about it and you act on it under His guidance.
You don’t just keep silent, you are doing something about it(let it be in the prayer closet or physically or both).
As Christians, we ought to look a little bit in our worlds, around us, at least where we live, work, school, teach, entertain ourselves. We ought to listen to God’S Holy Spirit, as He moves us to act on certain things which don’t align with God’S plan, we are the light of the world, we are the salt of the earth, the change starts from where we are. We are accountable.
Is there someone who’s always been bullied around you but you’ve never prayed about it, never asked for advice on how to help the person? May be it’s time to pray about it, to intercede for the person.
Is there a problem with corruption in your country and you’ve always blamed the authorities? It’s time to pray about it, and at your own level to avoid it and not just follow the movement.
Are your friends taking drugs and you’ve always remained silent about it? It’s time to ask yourself whether they won’t have a negative impact on you and also to pray for them.
Is there a situation in your local church which you know is clearly unbiblical and you’ve just been gossiping about it? Pray and take action as God leads you to.
Be zealed for The Lord.
You can make a change in your life for God and in peoples’ lives today, with His Help.
God bless you all.
