Hello blessed child of God, I hope you’ve had an awesome week in The Lord.
The fact that we’re diving deeper and deeper into lent brought me to this wonderful song today “Your Glory/Nothing but The Blood” by All Sons and Daughters.
With struggles of our everyday lives, with battles still to be won, with tomorrows which we can’t predict, it’s easier to feel overwhelmed and forget to whom we belong.
Our lives belong to God, and we were created to give glory to Him, and to put all our hope in Him.
Taking time everyday to praise God helps our minds shift our perspective from our problems and from ourselves to God.
A good number of our problems, sleepless nights, difficulties in life are caused by our sins. How wonderful it is to know that we don’t have to carry the burden of our sins on our shoulders with all the guilt, shame and condemnation.
We can go to God, receive His forgiveness and let The Blood of Jesus Christ wash away our sins.
Ephesians 1:7 NIV
In Him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace
Nothing other than The Blood of Jesus can wash away our sins:
- Our good works can’t wash away our sins
- Our guilt can’t wash away our sins
- Our shame can’t wash away our sins
- Hiding can’t wash away our sins
- Denial can’t wash away our sins
- Punishing ourselves can’t wash away our sins
- Blaming others can’t wash away our sins
- Self-harm can’t wash away our sins
- Suicide can’t wash away our sins
Hebrews 9:12, 14 NIV
He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but he entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood, thus obtaining eternal redemption. How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!
Nothing but The Blood of Jesus has the power to wash away our sins. So today, let’s turn to God, to praise Him, to offer our whole lives to Him, and to receive His forgiveness and the cleansing which only The Blood of Jesus can provide.
Exercise
- Today, turn to God and let Him know all your sins, everything which weighs you down
- Ask Him to wash them away with The Blood of Jesus Christ
- Thank Him for cleansing you
- Praise Him
- Offer your life to Him, and tell Him you belong to Him
Prayer
Father Lord God Almighty, thank You for making me realize that I don’t have to run left and right for a way to cleanse my conscience. Thank You so much because The Blood of Jesus is enough to wash away my sins. As I confess to You my sins today, please Lord cleanse me with The Blood of Jesus, and help me live my life for Your glory, in Jesus Christ’s Name. Amen
