Hi everyone, I hope you are all fine by God’S grace, and growing in Him during this lent period.
Today we are going to talk about being weary.
If you turn to your dictionaries (mine is Oxford Advanced Learner’s dictionary) you may see this word being defined as “very tired, especially after you have been working hard or doing something for a long time”
It could be a relationship you are working on to restore it in order to glorify God, it could be an aspect of your ministry to The Lord, it could be your personal efforts at home, in school, at work.
May be you are really tired of trying, maybe the results aren’t exactly as astonishing as you wanted, or maybe they are but it drains your energy so much. Maybe you’ve even given up on doing good because it makes people despise you.
Please let’s take a look together at what The Bible says.
1. God is not against you getting some rest In fact He knows you, He created your body. He created the sabbath day to rest and insisted for Israel to observe it(which is a proof that He thought of our human weaknesses and need to rest).

Mark 6:30-32 KJV
And the apostles gathered themselves together unto Jesus, and told him all things, both what they had done, and what they had taught. [31] And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat. [32] And they departed into a desert place by ship privately.

2. Jesus Christ actually calls you to rest in Him

Matthew 11:28-30 KJV
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. [29] Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. [30] For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

3. Rest, but don’t just give up Don’t give up now, if it’s where God called you, rest in Him, let Him restore your energy, and continue working for The Lord. Don’t let people discourage you.
“if life is rude with you be rude with life” (I heard Pastor Yvan Castanou say this).

1 Corinthians 15:58 KJV
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

Galatians 6:9-10 KJV
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. [10] As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men , especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

To conclude, always seek God’S guidance in your situation, rest when you ought to, rely on Him.
With Jesus Christ in the boat it will be well.
God bless you all.
