Matthew 28:20 I am with you always even to the end of the age
Hello, blessed child of God.
How’s your first day of lent been?
I hope it was fine in The Lord, and that your resolutions are getting in place little by little.
As I tried to explain yesterday, this year during Lent we’ll have one post everyday, and these posts will be about Christian music and how to add music to your everyday life as a Christian.
Today’s song is entitled “Through all of It” by Colton Dixon. Here’s the lyrics video to the song :

The big idea behind the song is that we all have a story, we all have a background. We’ve all gone through a certain number of things in life, and there have been moments where we were rocking it as Christians (thank God) and others during which we messed up.
There have been moments of success (at school, in our respective jobs and relationships, in our spiritual lives etc) and there have been moments of failure (struggling with sins which you thought you had overcome, broken relationships, etc).
God never said that life was going to be easy, or that we were going to become “perfect at once”, but what He did say, was the fact that He would be with us always.
Matthew 28:20 NLT

I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Remember that God isn’t our refuge from times of trouble, but He is our refuge in times of trouble.
Psalms 46:1 NLT

God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.

All these; the good times and the difficult times are part of our lives, and God uses all of them for His purpose in our lives to come to pass.
That’s exactly why, today, you are invited to thank God for times where things were really hard on you, and He stood for you. Also, thank God for all the wonderful times in your life where things were going on better than you expected; an answered prayer, a miracle etc.

Exercise

  1. Make a list of 3 times where you “lost” and remember how God helped you through. Thank Him for always being with you.
  2. Make a list of 3 times where you you “won”, remember how much joy you felt, thank God for doing this for you.
  3. Make a list of 3 things for which you need God’s help right now. Thank Him because He has done it for you before and He will do it again for you.

Prayer

Father Lord God Almighty, help me realize that success and failure are both part of life and none of those disqualifies me from needing Your presence in my life. Thank You for always being there with me and for always being for me, all the days of my life. Help me live with this truth in mind that nothing can ever separate me from from Your love, in Jesus Christ’s Name. Amen

It’s now your turn
