For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.Romans 8:18 KJVhttps://bible.com/bible/1/rom.8.18.KJV
Hello blessed child of God. I hope you’re fine by God’s grace.
Have you ever wondered why we some periods in our lives seem easier to go through than others?
Some periods in our lives are like spring, with so much good news, nice moments and lots of joy.
While there are others which clearly look like winter. Everything looks dark, cold, without any hope, with almost no life in it.
In our hardest seasons we tend to forget that the same God who was with us at spring, is with us through the winter.
That’s probably the lesson I learn through “Seasons” by Hillsong Worship.

There’re definitely difficult seasons in our lives. Periods of conflict in our relationship, moments during which we don’t feel that happy and healthy, moments through which it seems like we’re losing and never winning.
However, we have to remember that we’re seeds in God’s hands, and in order for a seed to bear fruits, it must first die in the soil.
John 12:24 NLT

I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat is planted in the soil and dies, it remains alone. But its death will produce many new kernels—a plentiful harvest of new lives.

The fact that you’re in hibernation during this season doesn’t mean that God doesn’t have a plan or that you have no hope. He has a plan, and you can be full of hope and expectations because, even though you don’t see your victory in the next season, God sees it and He has already spoken it into existence.
1 Peter 5:10‭-‬11 NLT

In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation. All power to him forever! Amen.

Romans 8:18 KJV

For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

Remember, seasons last just for some time. Thus you can be sure that this season you are in is just temporary.
Don’t lose hope, God’s promise is loyal.
Sequoia trees are the largest on earth. Their seeds are really tiny, and they need difficult conditions (fire) to be released in nature and enter the soil. Those little seeds take years to become giant sequoia trees. It doesn’t happen overnight.
And provided that you believe, it’s the same thing for you. God’s not done working in you, on you and for you. Just be patient, little by little He’ll carry you from seed to sequoia. It’s a process of growth and you’ll have to go through many different seasons, but never forget that God is in control, it’s all part of the plan.
I know you may be going through a very difficult season right now, and o can’t imagine what you’re dealing with, but while you’re in winter, you have to remember God’s promises, they help you keep hope. It’s just a season among others. Just be patient.

Exercise

  1. Listen to “Seasons” by Hillsong 2-3 times and let your heart receive this peace; knowing that the difficult season you’re in is just for some time
  2. Thank God for what He’s doing in you through out the difficult seasons you face in life

Prayer

Eternal Lord God King of Glory, thank You so much for bringing peace to my soul today by making me realize that the hard times I am facing are just temporary, and that you’re making me grow from seed to sequoia. I know it’ll take some time, that’s why I pray that You help me to be patient, in Jesus Christ’s Name. Amen.
