Rest In You

Hello blessed child of God, I hope you’ve had a wonderful day in The Lord.
I could kind of say to a certain extent that I had a difficult day. There are a few goals I wanted to achieve today but I wasn’t able to. I’ve been nervous and frustrated all through the day, till a few minutes ago, when I started listening to “Rest in You” by All Sons And Daughters.

What a wonderful reminder. Irrespective of our situations we can do like King David and take a break on everything else to rest in God.
Psalm 62:1‭-‬2‭, ‬5‭-‬8 NIV

Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from Him. Truly He is my rock and my salvation; He is my fortress, I will never be shaken. Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from Him. Truly He is my rock and my salvation; He is my fortress, I will not be shaken. My salvation and my honor depend on God ; He is my mighty rock, my refuge. Trust in Him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to Him, for God is our refuge.

I don’t know how your week started, I don’t know how your day was, I don’t know the battles which lie ahead of you, but what I know is that it’s so easy to become stressed up, anxious and irritated for every single little thing which doesn’t work out as planned.
Today, I invite you to silence your doubts, your anxiety, your worries, your troubles, all those things which make you nervous and irritated, by using this universal method:
-Praise/Worship
Worshipping God will shift your perspective from yourself to Him, from your problems to Him, from your battles to Him as we said in the previous post.
No matter what you’re going through right now, you can make God your refuge and you can find rest and peace in Him.
The fact that everything isn’t yet sorted out in your life doesn’t mean that you have to be in an irritated, frustrated, sad and miserable mood. You can receive peace right now.
Matthew 11:28‭-‬30 NIV

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

1 Peter 5:7 NIV

Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.

At times God will calm your storm, but some other times God will first calm you before calming your storm.
Restlessness is often accompanied by hopelessness, but you don’t have to be hopeless. God is more than able to change and fix your situation in the twinkling of an eye. Don’t wait for it to be fixed and changed for you to enjoy His peace. He is inviting you to receive His peace and rest now.
Faith is not only praying God with assurance, but it’s also waiting peacefully for His answer, knowing that He will never fail you.

Exercise

Let your heart find rest in God today as you sing along while listening to “Rest in You” by All Sons And Daughters. Let the words of this song go deep into your heart as you receive God’s peace.

Prayer

Father Lord God Almighty, I cast all my anxieties, my cares, my troubles on You. Give me Your peace Lord, help me live carefree, focused on You, and enjoying Your presence. In Jesus Christ’s Name. Amen
