Hello everyone, I hope you’re all fine by God’s grace. Last week we talked about the feeling of hopelessness (click here if you haven’t read it yet) . As promised, today we’ll talk about how to tackle hopelessness and eventually how to solve it once and for all God willing.
Step #1: Ask yourself what’s the cause
I mean the real cause, I am not talking about the event which made you feel hopeless once again, am talking about what really really deeply makes you feel hopeless.
- Is it something which was done to you when you were younger?
- Is it something which was said to you long time again?
- Is it a deep fear which seems to never leave you?
- Is it a feeling which you are unable to resolve? For example : feeling unloved.
In my case, it was a feeling which kept coming back every single time I faced something, and that feeling made everything seem hopeless in my sight because what this feeling represented mattered a lot to me.
Step #2 Look for the appropriate Bible verses
John 8:31-32 NIV
To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
When God inspired the writing of The Bible, He had you in mind, ie no matter the situation you’re facing right now, there’s a content in the Bible (at least one verse) which was put there exactly for you, in order to speak to you in this situation. It’s now up to you to find that verse, to learn it, memorise it, and let it change your mindset.
Step #3 Realize that God’s love is the answer
No matter the source of your hopelessness, it’s time to realize that God’s love for YOU is the answer. Yes, I said His love for YOU.
-Did you know that even if you were the only person on earth God would still have sent Jesus Christ to die for your sins?
-Did you know that God loves you SO MUCH that He didn’t spare His only Son for you?
John 3:16 NIV
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
-Did you know that even when you are asleep God loves you so much that He watches over you?
Proverbs 3:24, 26 NIV
When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet…. for the Lord will be at your side and will keep your foot from being snared.
-Did you know that God loves you so much that even if everyone gives up on you because you messed up, He’ll never give up on you simply because He loves you so much?
-Did you know that no matter what was done to you in your past, God doesn’t love you any less?

-Did you know that you are PRICELESS to God?
Luke 15:8-10 NIV
“Or suppose a woman has ten silver coins and loses one. Doesn’t she light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it? And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin.’ In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”
-Did you know that no matter what people say about you, God says He loves you?
-Did you know that you have nothing to be afraid of because The One who made Heaven and earth loves you so much?
-Did you know that God’s love for you is way bigger than the rejection anyone has ever expressed towards you?
Psalm 27:10 NIV
Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me.
You see,God loves you so much. If you can grasp this truth, your perspective will change and you’ll realize that nothing can ever disadvantage you, because God loves you.
In the end, the remedy to hopelessness is knowledge of God’s unfailing love for you.

Father Lord God Almighty, I thank You because I am priceless to You, I thank You for loving me so much. May this truth heal my heart and deliver me once and for all from hopelessness as I realize how much You love me and how much all things will work together for my good. In Jesus Christ’s Name I pray.
