Hi everyone, today we’ll look at the word perseverance. Perseverance is the quality that allows someone to continue trying to do something even though it is difficult.
Who said being a Christian was easy?

2 Timothy 3:12 New King James Version (NKJV)
12 Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.

Scripture tells us how much the first Christians suffered for His Name Today again, many suffer persecution because they have chosen to follow Jesus Christ, let it be at their work places, in their own homes, in their families, in their religious settings, in their schools, for the sake of Jesus.
I would like us to take a look at what The Lord Jesus Christ said with respect to that

But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name’s sake.(Luke 21:12)KJV
And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death.And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake. But there shall not an hair of your head perish. In your patience possess ye your souls.(Luke 21:16-19)KJV
 

Christians suffer different forms of persecution, but we should never give up, we should hold on to Christ Jesus for that is what He wants, and like Paul, we shall be led by God’S Holy Spirit with the right words in the right time to testify of the glory which is in Christ Jesus, even whilst being persecuted ( Acts 22:2-21, Acts 23:6-8, Acts 26: 4-23)

For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised.Hebrews 10:36 English Standard Version (ESV)

Is it this person who is always teasing you about God’S Word, or are they those people who attack your convictions because you are a Christian, those who shun you, or those who provoke you ? Hold fast to God, keep hope, don’t let them discourage you because you are different from them.

 They are surprised that you do not join them in their reckless, wild living, and they heap abuse on you.(1 Peter 4:4 NIV)
Of course, your former friends are surprised when you no longer plunge into the flood of wild and destructive things they do. So they slander you.(1 Peter 4:4) New Living Translation

Never give up, God is on your side, keep hoping in Him, keep walking in His ways, and remember He Himself shall give you words to face your oppressors, and in the end His Name shall be glorified.

do not be anxious beforehand what you are to say, but say whatever is given you in that hour, for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit. Mark 13:11 ESV

Remember His promise

 And you will be hated by all for my name’s sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.Mark 13:13 ESV

Prayer
Eternal Lord help out all Your children who suffer from any forms of persecution, may Your love lead them through, in Jesus Christ’S Name I pray.Amen
