Hello precious child of God, I hope you’re fine by God’s grace.
This morning when I was doing my chores, I started thinking about how wonderful it is when out relationship with God grows. The more we get to read His Word, and the more we experience His glory in our lives, the more we get to know Him, and the closer we are to Him.
It’s so passionate to know a little more about God one step at a time, and actually, the more we know God the less we’re interested in the world (evil systems and patterns of the world).
The more you know God, the more you want to know Him and to have only Him at the center of your life.
That’s probably the emotion behind the song “One Thing” by Hillsong Worship.

Of all we’ve encountered in the world, our most beautiful relationship is the one we have with God.
In fact it’s from our relationship with God that we receive anointing to manage our relationships with others.
We have to treasure our relationship with God and value it. One of the ways to realize how beautiful it is, is to start worshipping everyday. Opening our mouths to worship Him. After all, that’s what we’ll do in Heaven for eternity; worshipping God. So why not start now?
When I look back on some of the things I thought I loved before and that I look at everything I enjoy ever since I gave up on those things to focus on God, I am extremely delighted. I absolutely don’t regret, because Jesus Christ is more than enough.
When you spend time with God, everything else (problems, issues, troubles, wealth, political power etc.) seems to be insignificant.
The more you know God, the more you want to know Him, and all you want is Jesus, more and more of Jesus.
There’s such a great beauty in stopping to enjoy the presence of God by worshiping Him and devoting all your heart and your life to God.
May He stir in us the desire to love Him and love Him even more.
May we be able to say along with the Psalmist:
Psalms 42:1‭-‬2a NLT

As the deer longs for streams of water, so I long for you, O God. I thirst for God, the living God.

Psalms 63:1‭-‬8 ESV

O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water. So I have looked upon you in the sanctuary, beholding your power and glory. Because your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise you. So I will bless you as long as I live; in your name I will lift up my hands. My soul will be satisfied as with fat and rich food, and my mouth will praise you with joyful lips, when I remember you upon my bed, and meditate on you in the watches of the night; for you have been my help, and in the shadow of your wings I will sing for joy. My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me.

My favourite part in the song “One Thing” by Hillsong Worship is
“I want nothing but to know You and to be with You my God, and with everything within me, I will worship You my God
In case you feel like ” I’m not a worship leader, and I’m not good at singing/ I’ve never tried singing/ I’m not sure worshipping God is my thing”, let me tell you:
It doesn’t have to be “your thing”.
We were all created to worship God and we can all worship Him, not only with our hearts but also with our voices.
If God has blessed you with the ability to make sounds come out of your mouth, then use it to praise Him and adore Him.
In case you didn’t know, Jesus too sung. Yes, Jesus and the apostles together sung to God. If Jesus worshipped God with His voice and if God has blessed you with a voice, and the ability to sing, who are you not to worship Him?
Matthew 26:30 ESV

And when they (Jesus and the apostles) had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.

Exercise

Start today, 5 minutes a day, and then increase little by little. Download Christian music and begin to worship God one song at a time.
You can start with “One Thing” by Hillsong Worship, or any other worship song.

Prayer

Father Lord God Almighty, move my heart to love You more, to adore You more. Help me make worshipping You with music an active part of my life, and even when I can’t sing for a reason or another, Help me worship you in my heart, in Jesus Christ’s Name. Amen.
