He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.

Hello blessed child of God, I hope you’re fine by God’s grace.
I’m reading a wonderful Lenten devotion, and today’s verses on God’s restoration were exactly what I needed.
It made me think of “My Revival” by Lauren Daigle.

This song is based on the verses I read today on restauration.
Isaiah 40:29‭-‬31 ESV

He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might He increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

Have you gone through so many things that you feel like you’ve lost so much on your way?
You probably know better than me that life is really busy these days. More often than not, our time and energy are being drained at work, in school or wherever we are.
We have so much to do every single day that it’s so easy to feel tired and broken.
Everytime I go through difficult seasons, I feel drained, both physically, emotionally and psychologically. The hardest thing is usually to believe that things are going to get any better.
I believe you can relate. Life’s not always easy, at times we face trials and tribulations. Nevertheless, God promises that though we feel weak, though we may have more than a million reasons to fall due to lack of energy, He shall give us power and strength so that we may keep standing and that we may soar as eagles unto higher heights.
You think that you’ve lost so much on the way that you can’t go any further. Please, let me tell you that what you’ve lost, let it be time, energy, money, peace, joy, hope, sense of worth, dignity etc… God is more that able to restore sevenfold.
If God allowed it to happen, He is also more than willing and able to restore.
Joel 2:25 ESV

I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the hopper, the destroyer, and the cutter, My great army, which I sent among you.

Yes, God is able to restore all what you’ve lost. But will you believe this?
Yes, we all go through difficult seasons, and indeed it’s hard, it sucks, it’s so painful and so tiring. It hurts, but, you don’t have to go through it feeling defeated.
You can go through it with hope, faith and joy, because you stand on a promise which says that you will run and not grow weary because you wait on The Lord.
Refuse to go through most of your life feeling exhausted. Choose to believe that God’s strength is with you, now, in the process.

Exercise

  1. Listen to “You are My Revival” by Lauren Daigle and sing along
  2. Keep today’s verses in your heart as you think of the different difficult situations you’re facing right now
  3. Choose to keep hoping and believing that God will give you strength, power and endurance all through this season and every other season of your life

Prayer

Father Lord God Almighty, I thank You so much because now I know that I don’t have to go through life feeling tired and defeated. Lord, thank You for being my revival, for renewing my strength everyday, for giving me power to push through, to grow and improve in life. I thank You because You are with me in this season and every season of my life to restore me, and uphold me in Jesus Christ’s Name. Amen
