Hello beloved child of God, I hope you enjoyed a wonderful day in The Lord.
You’ve probably noticed that I love to talk about love and particularly about God’s love for us.
I think it’s so important for each one to know how much God loves them. If you could just know how much God loves you, there are so many things which would change in you, starting with your inner peace.
Ephesians 3:17-19 NIV
so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
Right now, I can’t think of a better song to talk about God’s love than ” Love Won’t Let Me Down” by Hillsong Young & Free.
How many of us have been disappointed by someone we loved ? After all, people out there are human beings just like we are, they’re not perfect, they’re not God, and they can obviously disappoint us.
At times they don’t see love as we do, or they don’t return the love we give to them.
Or, we expect things from others which they are unable to give to us, and as such we feel disappointed and unloved.
There are so many examples we can give on people we thought loved us but let us down.
I believe the first time we were let down in our lives, it was by the people we expected to love us the most (our parents), but they probably didn’t choose to let us down. They’re human beings just like us and they’re learning to love.
My point is, no one can love you like God. Even your spouse can let you down at times and even you if you’re honest you’ve let down people who loved you sincerely, but God is perfect and His love is complete. His love will never let us down.
You see, God loves you so much that He gave the life of His only Son as sacrifice for all of your sins, and He’s not done loving you. His Holy Spirit is with you everyday to prepare you for eternity with Him.
Even when you wander away due to your sins, God still forgives you and welcomes you back with open arms whenever you repent sincerely.
Luke 15:21-24 NIV
“The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’ “But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate. For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ So they began to celebrate.
Also, even when you have problems because of people who hate you or attack you for no good reason, God moves miraculously on your behalf to help you out.
Psalm 18:6-9, 14, 16-17 NIV
In my distress I called to the Lord ; I cried to my God for help. From His temple He heard my voice; my cry came before Him, into his ears. The earth trembled and quaked, and the foundations of the mountains shook; they trembled because He was angry. Smoke rose from His nostrils; consuming fire came from His mouth, burning coals blazed out of it. He parted the heavens and came down; dark clouds were under his feet. He shot His arrows and scattered the enemy, with great bolts of lightning He routed them. He reached down from on high and took hold of me; He drew me out of deep waters. He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from my foes, who were too strong for me.
No surprise that He says that whosoever shall call unto The Name of The Lord shall be saved. He says so because He loves you so much that no matter what you need when you cry out to Him He hears and answers.
Life isn’t pink, rainbow and butterflies everyday. Chances are that 90% of us (if not 100%) are fighting a battle right now of which the other one isn’t aware.
You need to grasp this today. God loves you and His love won’t let you down.
- In your struggle, His love won’t let you down.
- In your pain, His love won’t let you down
- In your journey to learn to forgive others, His love won’t let you down
- In your journey to love yourself, His love won’t let you down
- In your depression, His love won’t let you down
- In your battle against addiction, His love won’t let you down
- In raising your kids, His love won’t let you down
- In choosing your future spouse, His love won’t let you down
- In leading at your church, His love won’t let you down
No matter where you are right now, you have to keep in mind that God’s love is going to see you through.
Also, in case you’ve always felt like no one loved you, and like no one wanted you, I want to let you know that the devil was playing with your thoughts and lying to you all along.
You are loved, you are chosen and God definitely wants you. He knew you before you were born, and may be you’re not in people’s minds to know whether they love you or not, but you have God’s mind written all through The Bible, and He openly says that He loves you.
Psalm 139:13-14 NIV
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
Jeremiah 1:5a NIV
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.”
Jeremiah 31:3 NIV
The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.
So next time the devil tells you that no one loves you, that your parents don’t love you as much as your sister or your brother, that your friends don’t love you, that your husband/wife doesn’t love you, that God doesn’t love you tell him
“ I can’t check what’s in other people’s hearts, but I know what’s in God’s heart, and God loves me, and He who loves me is also The One who directs other people’s hearts, so if God loves me I’m good, it’s enough, because He’ll work all things together for my good, even the feelings of my parents, friends, siblings and spouse”
Don’t let the devil paralyze your thoughts. God loves you so much.
Exercise
Your only exercise of the day is to thank God for His love for you, His love which won’t let you down.
Prayer
Father Lord God Almighty, I thank You so much for loving me. I thank You because Your love won’t let me down, and Your love will see me through every situation. Your love is enough. Help me live peacefully knowing that You’ll always love me, in Jesus Christ’s Name. Amen.
