Hi there, as we approach the topic of judging, I would like to make a clear contrast between judging and discerning.
Let’s say you have a new neighbor and you know from sure source that he is just out of prison for the nth time for theft. Logically, you won’t give him the keys of your mansion as you go on holidays for him to take care of it in your absence, because you know he’s got a problem with theft.
Here, you have discerned him, you used “sound judgement” which is way different from trying to take the place of God in his life by condemning him and wishing he would die, insulting him or stoning him.
The previous one; discernment is what you should seek for, but the latter;judgement is what you should avoid, since you aren’t God.
Now that things are said clearly, let’s take a look at Matthew 7:1-15

Judge not, that ye be not judged(Matthew 7:1)

.

And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? [4] Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? [5] Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.(Matthew 7:3-5)

If I were to take a resolution from these verses, it would be this. Rather than judging others, rather than pointing out each and everyone’s flaws( and possibly feeling “better” because I supposedly lack those flaws) I should
1. Look into myself to see where I fall short.
2. Always try to ameliorate myself and become something better in Christ Jesus.
3. Stare less at others; check more on myself, my attitude, my inner self.
That being said, I would love to advice you not to miss out on the various opportunities God grants to you to ameliorate yourself just because you are too busy looking at others’ faults and flaws that you don’t see yours on which you ought to work with prayer and God’S Help.
I wish you the best in your walk of humility and sanctification.
GOD bless you all in Christ Jesus’ Name. Amen
