John 10:28a NLT
I give them eternal life, and they will never perish.
Hi blessed child of God, I hope you’re fine by God’s grace.
As we said, this year for lent, we’ll listen to Christian/Gospel music and work on understanding the meaning behind the songs. Music is such an important part in the life of a Christian, as such, it’s important that we don’t just “listen to listen” but that we listen to learn and draw closer to God.
What a great day to remind ourselves that we belong to God as we listen to “I am Yours” by Lauren Daigle.

In life there’ll always be storms. It’s not because you’re a Christian that you’ll never have storms in your life and that everything will be rainbow bright full of colourful flowers everyday and all the time. There will be hard times.
The big difference between you (as a Christian) and the rest of the world is the fact despite the storms raging at you and attacking you deeply, you’ll keep standing, because you built your house on The Rock (Jesus Christ).
Luke 6:48‭-‬49 NLT

It is like a person building a house who digs deep and lays the foundation on solid rock. When the floodwaters rise and break against that house, it stands firm because it is well built. But anyone who hears and doesn’t obey is like a person who builds a house right on the ground, without a foundation. When the floods sweep down against that house, it will collapse into a heap of ruins.”

That’s why you don’t have to fear the storm, you don’t have to be afraid when the world looks like it’s falling apart, you don’t have to fear when obstacles come your way, for the very simple reason that God is on your side, you belong to Him, you are His
John 10:28a NLT

I give them eternal life, and they will never perish.

When you grasp this truth that because you belong to God you will never perish, you begin to be at peace and to face trouble at a different level, because you already know that in Christ Jesus you have overcome.

Exercise

  1. What is the storm/difficult season you’re facing right now? (It could be a relationship, a problem at your job etc.)
  2. Take it to God in prayer without fear
  3. Thank Him knowing that because you are His, it will be well

Prayer

Father Lord God Almighty, thank You so much for choosing me and for taking care of me. Today I sleep peacefully knowing that no matter the storm I will stand firm because I have put my trust in Jesus, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

It’s Now Your Turn

Let us know in the comments section what type of storm you’re going through so that we can pray for you.
