Hey precious child of God, I hope you’re fine by God’s grace.
Right now in church (Elevation Church) we are studying the book of Mark. Reading on Jesus’ miracles always reminds me how much it’s clearly possible for Him to heal us no matter what we have as disease.
That’s what pushes us to today’s song titled “I am The God That Healeth Thee” by Don Moen.
Let’s share a few Bible verses about healing.
Mark 1:40-42 NLT
A man with leprosy came and knelt in front of Jesus, begging to be healed. “If you are willing, you can heal me and make me clean,” he said. Moved with compassion, Jesus reached out and touched him. “I am willing,” he said. “Be healed!” Instantly the leprosy disappeared, and the man was healed.
Mark 5:25-29, 34 NLT
A woman in the crowd had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding. She had suffered a great deal from many doctors, and over the years she had spent everything she had to pay them, but she had gotten no better. In fact, she had gotten worse. She had heard about Jesus, so she came up behind him through the crowd and touched his robe. For she thought to herself, “If I can just touch his robe, I will be healed.” Immediately the bleeding stopped, and she could feel in her body that she had been healed of her terrible condition. And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace. Your suffering is over.”
Mark 10:46-52 NLT
Then they reached Jericho, and as Jesus and his disciples left town, a large crowd followed him. A blind beggar named Bartimaeus (son of Timaeus) was sitting beside the road. When Bartimaeus heard that Jesus of Nazareth was nearby, he began to shout, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” “Be quiet!” many of the people yelled at him. But he only shouted louder, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” When Jesus heard him, he stopped and said, “Tell him to come here.” So they called the blind man. “Cheer up,” they said. “Come on, he’s calling you!” Bartimaeus threw aside his coat, jumped up, and came to Jesus. “What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked. “My Rabbi, ” the blind man said, “I want to see!” And Jesus said to him, “Go, for your faith has healed you.” Instantly the man could see, and he followed Jesus down the road
As you’ve probably noticed, in each of these three stories, Jesus healed someone who made the first step to believe that He was able to heal them.
Today, right where you are, right now, Jesus gives the possibility for you to be completely healed.
I remember I read something written by a pastor someday about “seizing opportunities”. I don’t remember the exact words but it looked like this. “When you hear a prophetic word which can effect change in your life seize it, receive it for yourself. The moment you receive it, it can change your life forever if you have faith. Locate yourself in The Word of God.”
This is to make my point. God’s healing is available to you now.
- You’ve tried to get over the addiction and it didn’t work
- You’ve tried different options to get rid of this malaise but it never left
- You’ve spent so much trying to heal your disease but it didn’t leave
- You went for therapy against OCD and it didn’t work
- You took drugs against depression, you’re still taking them but you’re not feeling better
- You’ve made wrong decisions in the past and today you’re married but you can’t have a child
- You’ve started with cancer chemotherapy but you’re still seeing no results
The doctors may have given horrible reports but if you believe in The Powerful Name of Jesus, right now, right where you are He can heal you instantaneously.
The only thing He requires from you is that you believe Him and that you receive your healing when you ask. Jesus says it this way:
Mark 11:22-24 NLT
Then Jesus said to the disciples, “Have faith in God. I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart. I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.
I know it may be difficult to believe, mostly because what you feel now is the pain and weakness caused by your situation, but be sure that God can change it all right now. If you believe.
The moment you believe the miracle comes true.
I’ll share a little story from Pastor David Yonggi Chou.
It’s the story of a woman who was diagnosed with a brain tumour. After a brain scan, it was found out that the tumour was located in a part of her brain for which it would be extremely difficult to undergo surgery. She asked her doctors for a little more time and went home. For the whole night she prayed and recited the following verse.
Isaiah 53:5 NLT
But He was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed.
She kept repeating that by His wounds she was healed, she repeated it till she believed it and was able to receive it and thank God for her healing.
On the next day, she had an appointment with her doctor and after a brain scan, it was noticed that there was no tumour anymore.
The tumour had gone, Jesus had healed her because she believed. The fact that she believed made her receive her healing.
I firmly believe that the God that I serve, the God who heals, can heal you today, once you believe.
Exercise
- Write down one thing you want to receive healing for.
- Take it to God in prayer. Ask Him to heal you in The Name of Jesus Christ.
- Believe that you have received this healing
- Close your eyes, see yourself healed, keep reciting “By His wounds I am healed”
- Thank Him for healing you
Prayer
Father Lord God Almighty, grow my faith, heal my unbelief so that when I call unto Your Name, that I may believe and receive Your healing today in Jesus Christ’s Name.Thank You Lord for Jesus was whipped so that I could be healed. Amen.
It’s Now Your Turn
