HUMILITY

Hi there,  I hope you guys are all fine by God’S grace. Today we are going to talk about humility.
It would be nice to define humility but I prefer using a self-explanatory description directly from The Bible.  Here we go:

Luke 18:10-14 KJV
Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. [11] The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are , extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. [12] I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. [13] And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. [14] I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

This is humility, abandoning yourself before God and letting Him decide. Not boasting of your own righteousness and deeds, just abandoning all yourself to God, all, your flaws, your faults, your sins, your worries (your joys too your hopes, your victories etc…) leaving it all to Him, being open to Him.
See how God acts on you when you are broken and abandon yourself to Him, surrender all to Him . See how in the parable above He grants forgiveness to the one who showed humbly that He needed it.

Isaiah 42:3
He will not crush the weakest reed or put out a flickering candle. He will bring justice to all who have been wronged.

Prov3:34
Surely he scorneth the scorners: but he giveth grace unto the lowly.

In your brokenness God will raise you up, He won’t let you down, He is merciful.
For further reading, I suggest that you check on Philippians 2:3-11, to see how Christ Jesus Himself being God The Son humbled Himself to the death on the cross and how God glorified Him after that, and now His Name is above all other names. He is our model of humility.
