Habakkuk 2:3 NLTThis vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.
Hello precious one of God, I hope your week has started in a wonderful way in The Lord.
In life, God calls us to serve Him, but as we’ve previously said, it’s not because you’re a Christian that everything will be easy for you. Christ said we would face trials and tribulations.
John 16:33 NLT

I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”

However, these trials aren’t meant to make us give up. We have to hold on through faith in Christ Jesus.
That’s why I love the song “Holding on” by Jamie Grace.

Every time God will try to plant His Word in your heart, to give you a vision for your life, the devil will come and do everything he can to distort the promise or to make you doubt the promise, to steal it from you.
Luke 8:5‭, ‬11‭-‬12 ESV

“A sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some fell along the path and was trampled underfoot, and the birds of the air devoured it. Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. The ones along the path are those who have heard; then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved.

He’s there to steal every Word of life that God speaks into you.
Why does the devil want to steal God’s Word from you? It’s in the verse above.
It’s because he doesn’t want you to believe and to be saved. It’s because he knows the potential that exists in faith.
The devil knows that God’s Words have the power to change any desperate situation in your life if you dare to believe it. That’s why he does everything to steal it from you before you have the time to believe or while you are still trying to believe, because if you believe, there’ll be a change in your life.
The devil doesn’t want any positive change in your life that’s why he’ll do everything to make you doubt the very thing which can bring change to your life i.e God’s Word.
1 Peter 5:8 ESV

Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

Your role when your adversary the devil tries to steal God’s Word from you is to hold on to His promises.

  • Write them on sticky notes and paste them all around your house.
  • Take them as backgrounds for your laptop, desktop, and/or phone.
  • Listen to songs which make you remember His promises
  • Read books which encourage you to have faith
  • Pray, pray, pray
  • Resist the devil

James 4:7 ESV

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

God will provide the miracle if you provide the faith.
It may be hard on you right now, everything may look complicated and hopeless, but no matter what you’re going through in this season of your life, there’s at least one promise in God’s Word which is the direct answer to your situation.
Look for it, and hold on to it. No matter what happens.
Hold on to it as if your life did depend on it (and it does).
If you persevere, and believe to the end, it will happen, just as God promised.
Habakkuk 2:3 NLT

This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.

Exercise

  1. List 3 areas of your life in which you are discouraged right now
  2. Look for 2 Bible verses for each of those areas
  3. Write those verses on sticky notes and stick them to your door/walls/fridge
  4. Declare them out loud everytime the devil tries to discourage you

Prayer

Father Lord God Almighty, You know my heart, You know the various sources of discouragement I have to deal with right now. Grant me grace, strength and courage to hold on to Your promises, to keep believing even when I don’t see it yet. In Jesus Christ’s Name. Amen.
