Hi everyone, I hope you are all fine by God’s grace.
I guess you’ve figured out what we’ll talk about today, just by looking at the title of this blog post.
Of all the people who will read this post, I am persuaded that a good number may remember at least one person in their mind whom they have a grudge against or who has a grudge against them. Just to say that it happens very often to be hurt by people and to keep it in our hearts.
Maybe we didn’t hold the grudge intentionally, perhaps we just buried it somewhere in us because we feel like it’s “inappropriate” to get angry, yet we’ve been hurt, we feel bad about it, bad about what has been done to us (or bad about what we have done).
Today’s post is meant to make someone let go of his/her grudge and forgive. We’re talking about both grudges you are aware of and also those you aren’t aware of but which poison your heart, your mind or your health. Thus, we’ll look at what The Bible says about forgiveness.
How do I know that I haven’t forgiven someone?
There’re pretty many signs that you haven’t forgiven someone but I guess everytime you think about the person or what happened you feel bitter and or angry. Maybe you have someone on your mind right now, let God’s love and forgiveness flow through you, decide today to forgive the person, pray for God to bless him/her.
Ephesians 4:31-32 KJV

Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

Why should I forgive?
-I forgive in order to be at peace in my heart
-I forgive because God has forgiven me though I didn’t deserve it,
-I forgive because I am a child of God, thus in Christ Jesus it is my new nature to be forgiving as God my Father
-I forgive for God to forgive me too
Mark 11:25-26 KJV

And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

If by reading this post The Lord has brought someone to your heart, be encouraged, forgiving will not only set the person free but will also set you free. God has a forgiving heart, He will grant it to you, just ask.
Mark 11:24 KJV

Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them , and ye shall have them .

Prayer
Eternal Lord, I thank You for you have loved me unconditionally and forgiven me in Christ Jesus, help me love and forgive just as You did to me, in Jesus Christ’s Name I pray. Amen
