For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.Romans 8:38‭-‬39 NIVhttps://bible.com/bible/111/rom.8.38-39.NIV

Hello beloved child of God, I hope you’re fine by God’s grace.
These days we have been talking about depression, and we will keep talking about it God willing.

I believe that some people are depressed because they don’t think that anyone loves them, or they doubt God’s love for them.

It’s quite easy for Christians in childhood to believe that God loves them. When you’re a child, you don’t know your flaws, or at least you don’t really notice them. However, the more time passes by, the older you get, the more you see your flaws, failures and shortcomings, and it’s easier for you to ask yourself “Does God still love me after what I did?” or “Does God still love me after what was done to me?

I’m here to answer this question for you today.

Yes, GOD STILL LOVES YOU IRRESPECTIVE OF WHAT YOU EVER DID OR WHAT WAS EVER DONE TO YOU

You may say “Victoria, you don’t know what I’ve been through, you don’t know what I’ve done, you don’t know how many times I’ve messed up, you don’t know what was done to me”

Actually, you’re right saying that. I don’t know about what you’ve been through, what you’ve done, how many times you messed up, or what was done to you, but I know for sure that we can completely trust God concerning what He said in His Word, and here is what God said in His Word about His love for you

1. God Loves You Forever

Jeremiah 31:3 NIV

The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.

Everywhere you see the word “you” in this Bible verse, replace it with your name.

For example

The Lord appeared to me in the past saying: “I have loved Victoria with an everlasting love; I have drawn Victoria with unfailing kindness.

You’ve got to locate yourself in The Word. The Bible is God’s love letter to you. You’ve got to read it and know that it’s taking about you and it’s speaking to you.

God’s love for you is everlasting. Which means, it’s eternal, it’s never going to finish. You can’t know where it started and it will never stop. It is unending.

Irrespective of what you ever did or what was ever done to you, He had loved you and chosen to love you way before all that happened even though He knew that it would happen.

Don’t be depressed by the lies of the devil, those lies through which he tells you that God can’t love you or God doesn’t love you (anymore) because of what you did, the number of times you did it, or what was done to you.

2. Nothing Can Separate You From God’s Love For You

Romans 8:35‭-‬39 KJV

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Now read the verse out loud but make it personal this time. Replace “us” with your own name.

As I previously said, you have to locate yourself in God’s Word. He made it clear that nothing can separate you from His love for you. Absolutely nothing.

So, if you were depressed because you doubted God’s love for you, may the truth of God’s Word set you free right now.

3. He Loves You So Much That He Sent His Son To Die For You

John 3:16‭-‬18 KJV

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved. He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the Name of the only begotten Son of God.

If you were perfect already, God wouldn’t have needed to send a Saviour for you, but because He knew even before creating you that you were going to sin, and He knew everything about what you would do, He planned for a way for you to spend eternity with Him just in case you would like to. So He sent Jesus Christ to pay the price for my sins, for your sins, for the sins of humanity.

This means that whoever believes in Him and accepts Him as Lord and Savior is saved from the punishment for their sins since Christ took that punishment on Himself.

This means that your sins don’t have to make you believe that God can’t love you anymore. He still loves you, and Jesus Christ already paid the price for all your sins, past, present, future, one sacrifice once and for all.

So, if ever you sin, instead of Lamenting and believing that God doesn’t love you anymore, just have faith, confess your sins to Him and let Him cleanse you from all unrighteousness.

1 John 1:7‭-‬10 NIV

But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin. If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, hie is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make Him out to be a liar and His word is not in us.

And if you feel unworthy of God’s love because of something which was done to you, remember that He loved you before that thing was done to you, and His love for you will never change. He sealed the proof of His love for you when He sent Jesus Christ to die on the Cross for your sins.

Conclusion

Some Christians are depressed because they don’t believe that God can still love them after what they did and how many times they did it, or after what was done to them.

I just need you to be set free by this truth today. God loves you forever, irrespective of what you did and how many times you did it, irrespective of what was done to you. Just turn to Him in every moment of doubt and speak His Word out loud. He loves you.

Prayer

Father Lord God Almighty, thank You for loving me so much. Please Lord help me never doubt Your love for me in Jesus Christ’s Name. Amen
