Hello blessed child of God, happy Palm Sunday.
Yesterday, I fell in love with this wonderful song written by Crowder: “Forgiven”.

(Please put on the Subtitles in order to see the lyrics )
Every year, we celebrate Palm Sunday. The day on which Jesus Christ entered Jerusalem gloriously as He was heading towards His death and resurrection.
Matthew 21:4‭-‬11 NIV

This took place to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet: “Say to Daughter Zion, ‘See, your king comes to you, gentle and riding on a donkey, and on a colt, the foal of a donkey.’ ” The disciples went and did as Jesus had instructed them. They brought the donkey and the colt and placed their cloaks on them for Jesus to sit on. A very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. The crowds that went ahead of Him and those that followed shouted, “Hosanna to the Son of David!” “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Hosanna in the highest heaven!” When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred and asked, “Who is this?” The crowds answered, “This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee.”

It’s really worth realizing why it was so important for Jesus to die for us. He died so that our sins would be forgiven.
If we try to be honest, we’ll realize that we’re the ones who nailed Jesus at the Cross. It’s our sins, our rebellion, which brought Him there. Every single nail which went through His body, it was because of us.
But it was not so that we would remain guilty and feel bad about it. It was not so that we would feel bad about Jesus’ death every year. It was so that we would indeed receive His forgiveness for our sins, and complete freedom.
Jesus didn’t die in vain. He really does to set us free.
When we fail to believe and accept His forgiveness in our lives, we’re taking His sacrifice as vain.
If it depended on our works, then we can clearly say that we all deserve Hell. Hell is eternal separation from God, and that’s what we deserve for our sins, but Jesus Christ interrupted the course of our stories and died so that we might spend eternity with Him though we do not deserve it.
No matter the burdens you carry on your shoulders today, no matter the weight of your guilt and your shame, no matter what you did in your past and where you are now because of your wrong choices…
You can receive God’s forgiveness in your life today, for FREE.
Romans 3:23‭-‬28 NLT

For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in His grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when He freed us from the penalty for our sins. For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed His life, shedding his blood. This sacrifice shows that God was being fair when He held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past, for He was looking ahead and including them in what He would do in this present time. God did this to demonstrate His righteousness, for He himself is fair and just, and He makes sinners right in his sight when they believe in Jesus. Can we boast, then, that we have done anything to be accepted by God? No, because our acquittal is not based on obeying the law. It is based on faith. So we are made right with God through faith and not by obeying the law.

This is the beauty of what Jesus came to do on earth.

Exercise

If you want to receive God’s complete forgiveness in your life today, for all the sins you’ve ever committed, and of you want to spend eternity with God, you can pray the following prayer.

Prayer

Lord Jesus Christ I acknowledge that I have sinned and gone against Your Will, I have fallen short of Your Glory. I need You Lord. Please Lord forgive me completely, cleanse me, come into my life, make me new. I give You my guilt, my shame, my expectations, my whole self, be my Lord and Saviour for all my life. Amen.
Congratulations, you are now saved and completely forgiven for all your past sins. Put your trust in Jesus, read God’s Word every day, ask The Holy Spirit to help you put God’s Word in practice, repent eveytime you mess up, and always stick to Jesus.
