Today’s post is about abundant life.
Let’s look at Jesus’ words in The Bible about abundant life.
John 10:10 KJV
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
What does it mean for a Christian to have abundant life in Christ Jesus ?
1. He gave His life just for you
John 10:15b KJV
I lay down my life for the sheep.
Even if you were the only one on earth Jesus would still die just for you, He didn’t come to save the world in general but to save each and every individual soul which belongs to Him.
If He is ready to give His life for you then He is more than willing and able to lead you in life with all of His love.
2. You are HIS
No one can ever take you from His hands, you are HIS for ever. As such He won’t ever let you perish, He is on your side and He won’t give up on you. No matter those who try to seize you from Him, He won’t let go of you, you are His.
John 10:28 KJV
And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
John 10:29 KJV
My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.
3. You follow Him
When you belong to Christ Jesus, He leads you with His Word and His voice and you follow Him. He is your abundant life. When you live by the truth that Jesus Christ will lead you, then you dwell in His grace and in the abundance and richness of His love.
John 10:14, 27 KJV
I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep , and am known of mine. [27] My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
Many more things can be said about abundant life, but for today please keep these, you don’t need to live the sorry life anymore, He set you free, He saved you, rejoice evermore, Jesus Christ is your abundant life.
Prayer
Eternal Lord, help me rejoice in Jesus Christ for I am His, He died for me that I may live abundantly in Him, in Jesus Christ’S Name I pray.
