Hello beloved child of God, I hope you’re fine by God’s grace.
If you’re reading this today I guess it’s because you’re struggling with depression or because someone you know is suffering from depression.
People react differently to different stimuli and that’s normal because we’re not all the same. Some people don’t understand why others are depressed and they interpret it as weakness because they don’t know how to empathize with what the person’s going through.
In case you’re the depressed person today, you shouldn’t feel ashamed, and you shouldn’t feel weak. No body knows exactly what’s going on in your life, and even if they did, they don’t know how you perceived it nor how you felt about it.
Nevertheless, you can’t afford to be depressed for all your life. God wants you well, God wants you healthy. His plans are to prosper you and not to harm you.
Jeremiah 29:11 NIV
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord , “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
That’s why I’m writing this blog post today.
What happened to you was probably extremely sad or horrible. You have the right to mourn, but you can’t mourn for too long. It’s time to put an end to this season of depression and to decide to fight for your health, your joy and your peace.

In the video above, I talk about something you need to know. Depression is a spirit, and because it is a spirit, because it has a name, it has to bow down at the mention of The Name of Jesus Christ.
Philippians 2:9-11 NIV
Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the Name that is above every name, that at the Name of Jesus every knee should bow, in Heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
In case you’re a believer, in case you’ve surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, The Holy Spirit dwells in you, and you have authority in Christ Jesus, you can speak and tell the spirit of depression to leave in The Name of Jesus Christ, and it will leave if it notices that you clearly know and believe that it has to leave.
Matthew 28:18 NIV
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.
Luke 10:19 NIV
I(Jesus Christ) have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.
However, if you’re not a believer, you can still be set free from depression when a Christian speaks with authority in The Name of Jesus Christ and casts the spirit of depression.
Finally, it’s not because you’ve been set free from depression today that you won’t suffer from depression in the future. The devil will leave you for a moment but he’ll come back later to see if he can trap you this time again.
Matthew 12:43-45 NIV
“When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order. Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first. That is how it will be with this wicked generation.”
That’s why you need to be prepared, you need to renew your mind, you need to develop strategies to control your thoughts and to deal with stress, emotional pain, and grief so that when the devil will try to attack you once more with depression he won’t be able to. Also obviously you need to draw closer to God and to grow in the knowledge of His Word.

Read one every day or one every other day and practice the exercises in each blog post and trust The Holy Spirit to work on you in this process of renewing your mind.
Prayer
Father Lord God Almighty, teach me to renew my mind so that I won’t be susceptible anymore to depression, in Jesus Christ’s Name. Amen
