Hello everyone, I hope you’re all fine by God’s grace. Today’s post is about practicing what you’ve learned.
All through the period of lent, there are so many things we’ve learned from our respective churches, prayer sessions, Bible studies, group meetings, from blog posts and different resources online.
During that period, we aimed at pleasing The Lord as much as possible, and behaving the best way possible as Christians. It wasn’t easy easy every day, but we trusted God till the end.
Now, lent period is over (at least, for this year) and we’re back to “ordinary” times. The lessons we’ve learned during that period weren’t aimed at helping us just at that moment, it was meant to make us develop good habits and carry them on into our daily lives.
The Bible wants us to put in practice what we’ve learned in God’s Word. Not just to read, but to put in practice.
James 1:22‭-‬25 NIV

Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.

It’s not only during lent that we must bear fruits as Christians, bit every single time.

Lent was just a rehearsal for what we should aim at
.
As you continue with your daily lives, be a living testimony of Jesus Christ’s resurrection

  • At your job, when you have to act fairly
  • In school, when you have to be honest
  • In the grocery store, where you have to behave appropriately
  • At parties (if you attend parties) , where you have to display purity
  • In church, where you have to worship God sincerely
  • At home, when someone annoys you
  • In the hospital, when you have a difficult decision to make
  • In your relationships, when you’re asked to forgive

Matthew 5:16 NIV

In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

Prayer
Father Lord Kind of Glory, thank You for all the changes you’ve made in my life during lent period. Thank You for all the things I have learned. Help me put all that in practice, so that the fruits may be visible to everyone, and that they may give glory to Your Name. In Jesus Christ’s Name I pray. Amen
God bless you.
