Hello beloved ones of God, I hope you’ve all had an awesome week under the direction of The Holy Spirit. Today’s post is directed towards anyone who feels tense, anxious, troubled and/or not safe.
For a certain number of days, I’ve been waking up anxious. Feeling like I had a load to carry which was pressing on my heart and almost suffocating me. As I’m learning to know myself better, I’m aware of the fact that most of the time when I feel this way, it’s because I have something I am praying about for which I am trying to figure out a path or solution in my mind, trying to calculate how God’s going to make it happen.
The problem is that, every time I try to calculate I realize that it’s impossible, at least to me. I realize that I just can’t calculate every step God is going to take, I can’t know which door He’s going to open and how He’s going to do it, I don’t even know when, and since I can’t grasp the “how” of the miracle, I begin to feel anxious.
Have you ever felt this way? Can you relate to this or am I just crazy?
Guess what I realized, God never asked me to figure out “How” He was going to do it, He just asked me to “Ask”, and to “Believe”.
Matthew 7:7-8 NIV
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
Matthew 21:22 NIV
If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”
John 14:14 NIV
You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.
Could it be, that every time I am stressed out it’s because I am trying to focus on how it’s going to happen, instead of focusing on God who promised that it would happen?
Here’s the problem in trying to figure out:
- How God’s going to fix your marriage
- How God’s going to speak to your best friend and make his heart change
- How God’s going to put food on your table
- How God’s going to multiply the money you give to Him as tithes and offerings at church
- How God’s going to bring the spouse of His choice into your life
- How God’s going to bless your marriage with another baby after the miscarriage
- How God’s going to make this company choose you for a job
- How God’s going to heal you …
The issue is we aren’t God, He has all the parameters in mind, He knows how the story is going to get untangled, we don’t. Try to equate all the parameters and to calculate how God’s going to fix it all in your life and you probably get a headache in the best case or you get crazy (worst case scenario).
What I mean is we aren’t omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent, we can’t know God’s mind and we can’t think at the same level as Him.

Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! “Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?”

We can’t figure out by which means He’ll answer our prayers, and good news is, He doesn’t expect us to figure out How He’ll answer our prayers. He’s just expecting us to provide the faith, and He’ll provide the miracle.
I hope this sets you free from lots of anxiety.
Prayer
Father Lord God Almighty, thank You so much for making me realize today that You don’t need me to calculate How You‘ll answer my prayers, but that my role is just to believe that You‘ll answer my prayers. This lifts a load off my shoulder as I put my trust in You to take care of me, my needs, the desires of my heart, my loved ones, my projects, in Jesus Christ’s Name. Amen

Mercii Vicky,,,t fais un travail ordinaire que l’Esprit saint rend extraordinaire… Ce matin encore j me demandais comment est ce que Dieu comptait exaucé mes prieres,,, et du coup,l’anxiété m’a saisit.j me rend compte ke Christ me demande juste d’avoir la foi…waouhhhh
