Hello precious child of God, I hope you’re fine by God’s grace.
As we’re going through the Lenten season, it’s important to be intentional about our relationship with God.
God has plans for us, His purpose for our life is greater than what we can ever imagine. That’s what draws us today to the song “Called Me Higher” by All Sons and Daughters.
God calls us higher. Our lives as Christians shouldn’t end at “going to church from time to time”. God wants us to be intentional about our relationship with Him.
- He expects us to read our Bibles actively everyday
- He wants us to know Him personally
- He wants us to grow in Him
And when we’re doing all these, we’re not done yet. Because your relationship with God isn’t only about yourself. You could enjoy His grace and His presence everyday, but you also have to serve Him by serving His children.
There’re so many broken people out there who need to feel God’s love, who don’t know about Jesus, or who know about Him but need to be surrounded to grow their relationship with Him.
There’re so many people out there who are going through difficult times and disasters, and who need you to be praying for them.
There’s always a greater level at which you can grow in your relationship with God; Drawing closer to Him, praying for other Christians, serving, becoming a better Christian in The Lord etc.
We don’t have to be stagnant, we get to choose if we’re going to take this thing deeper.

Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation,

When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.
Never fall in the trap of pride which makes you believe that you have it all together. There’s so much more you can learn and do in your Christian walk. Your life should be one of progress, increase, and improvement. Do not take it for granted.
Exercise
- Ask God to show you one area of your life in which you should mature as a Christian
- Decide to work on that during this season of Lent and also through out the year
- Pray for God’s help in this
Prayer
Father Lord God Almighty, I acknowledge that there are areas of my life where I need to mature and improve as a Christian. Reveal these to me Lord, and with the help of your Holy Spirit, help me mature in these areas, in Jesus Christ’s Name. Amen.
